The working room and the case body have a thickness of insulation layer. Silicon wool or perlite is used as insulation material. Some of the doors have a glass door or observation port for easy observation of the work room.

The constant temperature drying oven is suitable for use in industrial and mining enterprises, laboratories, scientific research units and other departments for drying, melting wax, sterilization and so on. However, it is not suitable for placing volatile and explosive materials in the drying oven to avoid explosion.

II. Structure of the lab drying oven

1.Box of the lab drying oven

(1) Case: The outer casing is made of thin iron plate (or thin steel plate). The wall of the box is divided into three layers (including the outer casing), and two interlayers are formed between the three layers of iron plates. The outer interlayer is filled with a heat insulating material (glass fiber or asbestos board), and the inner interlayer serves as a hot air convection layer.

(2) Thermostatic chamber of the lab drying oven: The space surrounded by the innermost iron plate is called a constant temperature chamber. There are 2 to 3 mesh shelves in the room for placing items. The temperature sensing portion of the temperature controller (ie, the temperature sensing probe) extends from the left side wall into the constant temperature chamber. A heating wire is placed in the bottom interlayer.

(3) The door of the lab drying oven: usually double. The inner door is a glass door that is used to observe the baked items with reduced heat loss. The outer door is used for thermal insulation.

(4) Inlet and exhaust holes of the lab drying oven: There is an air inlet hole at the bottom or side, from which dry air enters. There is a vent hole at the top of the box. An adjustable venting window is provided at its outlet, from which the steam escapes. A thermometer is inserted in the center of the exhaust window to indicate the temperature inside the oven.

(5) The side chamber lab drying oven: The side chamber is the control room. It is usually located on the left side of the cabinet and is insulated from the constant temperature chamber. It is equipped with switches, indicators, temperature controllers, blowers and other electrical components. Open the side door and inspect the circuit outside the heating wire. Some electric heating drying oven have a control room below the cabinet.

2. Electric heater of the lab drying oven

The electric heater of the drying oven usually consists of four heating wires connected in parallel. The heating wire is uniformly coiled on an insulating plate fired from a refractory material. The electric heaters are generally divided into two groups and are controlled by a changeover switch. The total power is (2 ~ 4) kW, and the power is up to 8 kW. The greater the power, the larger the cabinet.

3. Temperature control system of the lab drying oven

The temperature control system used on the drying oven usually has two types: differential rod type and mercury thermometer type. The temperature control system used in the drying oven produced in recent years mainly consists of a temperature sensor, a temperature control circuit, a relay, a temperature setting, and a temperature display portion.
